Beliș-Fântânele Lake

Choose the lake for forest scenery, a waterside walk and a quiet pause outdoors. Allow approximately 30 minutes by car from the cabin, depending on your route and road conditions. See the lake photographs in our gallery.

Scărișoara and the Ordâncușei Gorge

Plan a separate outing for the Scărișoara ice cave and the area around Gârda de Sus. Take a warm layer and shoes with good grip. Check current opening times, access and weather before leaving; conditions may change.

Horea, Fericet and Mătișești

For a shorter day, explore the nearby villages and local heritage around Horea and Fericet. Ask your host for a route suited to your group and the day’s weather. For walks around the cabin, wear outdoor shoes and supervise children near water and woodland.

A simple three-day plan

1. Arrival: settle in after 16:00, prepare dinner and enjoy a relaxed evening.
2. A day out: choose the lake or a cave outing, leaving time for the return drive.
3. A slower day: take a local walk and enjoy the terrace, hot tub and sauna. If this is your departure day, check-out is by 11:00.
